Small doses — a poem

take one minute to catch your breath,
one small hour to call a friend,
one good second to meet someone’s eyes,
one small afternoon to look at the skies.
One cold morning to walk outside,
one cup of tea to warm your insides,
just one single day to live your life,
one chunk of a life to see,
if you can find
someone to love,
and someone
who will love you back in time.
